What is a AAC file?

The AAC extension is short for “Advanced Audio Coding”, which is a standard audio container format for compressed digital audio and music data. Improved in several aspects, this format produces better sound quality at the same bitrate compared to the older audio formats. This audio format has been recognized by ISO and IEC as a standard for the MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video streams. Supporting 48 full bandwidth audio channels and up to 96 kHz frequency, AAC is a versatile format that has compatibility with most platforms including Windows, Mac, Android, iPhone, iPod, iPad, Nintendo, Web Players, PlayStation, etc.

How to open AAC files

  1. Know the location of the AAC file you want to open.
  2. Launch Creator NXT. File> Open>
  3. Select the file(s) and select open.
  4. Edit the file with Creators many audio and video editing tools.
  5. Before you close Creator, be sure to save your file. File> Save As. And name it as desired.
