Roxio Names Scott A. Steinberg Vice President Marketing

Milpitas, Calif., April 9, 2001 - Roxio, Inc., the Digital Media Company, announced today that Scott A. Steinberg has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Steinberg will report directly to Chris Gorog, the President and CEO of Roxio.

"Scott has an extremely strong marketing background within the entertainment consumer software industry," said Gorog. "We are looking forward to having him join the Roxio team and building upon the brand we have established in digital media software."

Mr. Steinberg comes to Roxio from industry leading entertainment and Internet companies including Liquid Audio, Eidos Interactive Inc., Crystal Dynamics Inc., and Sega of America. His extensive background in marketing includes product management, strategic planning, corporate marketing and advertising. He was responsible for launching 25 software titles at Sega, including Sonic the Hedgehog. He also managed partnerships with Marvel Entertainment and Warner Brothers to provide character licensing. While at Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Interactive, Scott orchestrated the U.S. and European marketing strategy, branding, Internet/Web and licensing efforts. He was also a key member of the management team responsible for restructuring throughout the merger of the two companies. At Liquid Audio, Scott drove the execution of the company's new trade and consumer branding campaigns. He facilitated and managed significant marketing alliances with partners such as Yahoo!, Bertelsmann Music Group and Artists Direct.
