Crunch and Popcorn share a great deal of underlying technology. Crunch is designed to make it really easy to move video to Apple devices like Apple TV, video iPods and soon iPhone via Apple’s iTunes application, regardless of which platform the customer owns. Crunch includes predefined templates for the display resolution of these devices.


Unlike Crunch, Popcorn supports optical disc burning to create DVD-Video with a variety of video sources. However, Popcorn does not include the predefined video templates but does offer the ability for the user to create custom templates.
