Roxio Provides Free Macintosh OS X Update For Toast 5 Titanium users
MACWORLD, San Francisco, California - (January 8, 2002) - Roxio, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROXI), the Digital Media Company, announced today the availability of a Toast 5 Titanium updater for Macintosh OS X. Customers who already own Toast 5 Titanium, can download the updater, free of charge, directly from Roxio's website at http://www.roxio.com/toastosx. Toast is the #1 selling CD burning software for Macintosh.
The Toast 5 updater will now enable Toast users to enjoy their favorite product features in the Mac OS X Aqua environment. Mac OS X users, in addition to Mac OS 9 users, may burn audio and MP3 CDs, with control over gaps between songs; backup and share files on CD or DVD, burn DVD video and data files on the same disc, convert iMovies into crystal clear video CDs to play on virtually any DVD
player and burn CDs in the background while they work. Toast 5 customers
will also receive a free carbonized updater for CD Spin Doctor,
for converting noisy LPs and cassettes to clear digital audio CDs.
Coming soon, Roxio will make available free Mac OS X updaters for
the other applications in the Toast suite; such as Audion, the versatile
MP3 tool; iView Media for complete digital asset management; and
Magic Mouse Discus, the CD label and jewel case creator. For customers
without broadband Internet access, a disc containing the complete
Toast 5 Titanium suite with OS X support will be available for a
nominal shipping and handling fee.
