Roxio Previews Toast 5 Titanium for Macintosh OS X

Toast 5 Titanium First To Allow DVD Video and Video CD Recording Within The OS X Environment

Milpitas, Calif, September 26, 2001 - Roxio, Inc. (Nasdaq:ROXI), the Digital Media Company, today announced the availability of Toast 5 Titanium for Macintosh OS X Version 10.1, Preview #2. This is the second version of Toast to support the Mac OS X operating system. Customers who already own Toast 5 Titanium, can download this beta version, free of charge, directly from Roxio's website at

Although some of Toast 5 Titanium's advanced features have not yet been ported to Mac OS X, this beta version will now enable users to record Video CDs with automatic MPEG-1 encoding, and record data and video to DVDs. In addition, some improvements have been made to audio and data CD burning capabilities, previously supported in OS X. Toast 5 Titanium for OS X, Preview #2 will expire after 90 days, as Roxio will continue to take advantage of the OS X development environment to further optimize the product for Mac OS X.
